The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
